Writing
I have a passion for storytelling through music and lyrics. I love to use compelling lyrics combined with evocative scripts, that speak to the heart, blending real emotions with acerbic wit and sarcasm. My aim is always to encompass emotional depth and authenticity.
I enjoy writing female characters, with all their complexities, traits and foibles. I am keen to understand the psyche behind certain behaviours, so I can write about the issues with empathy and integrity.
Stage Originals
I have written and staged two full and original musicals. One a comedy spoof called “Botox Or Bust” and the other a drama called “Loose Change”, both featuring compelling, authentic and layered characters, that tackle universal themes. I am always working on new ideas and aim to bring a fresh perspective to each project. I very much enjoy the collaboration process, and am currently working as part of a team on the development of a new musical about the county of Surrey.
My aim is to entertain, uplift and challenge through poignant storytelling, that will move and engage audiences.
